Fast And Furious

With the news so depressing lately -- with the economy, unemployment and the housing market -- a trip to Las Vegas for ISC West is just the escape we need to get away for a bit. To leave the real world for the entertainment capital of the world to attend ISC West, and taking in all Vegas has to offer, will be a welcome change. Being surrounded by more than 1,000 exhibitors, seeing the newest products, networking with more than 26,000 security professionals and attending ISC Education seminars, we can, for a moment, pretend all is fine with the world and just have fun.

To up the fantasy factor even more, SIA will kick off ISC West in a dramatic way. The organization is hosting an end-user party at Lamborghini Las Vegas/Dal Toro Ristorante inside the Palazzo Resort on March 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests can enjoy drinks and hors d'hoeuvres and network with colleagues while admiring some of the world's fastest, most expensive cars. The Italian sports-car maker, whose prices start at around $200,000, enjoyed record sales last year -- no bail out money is needed here.

And during a time in which everyone is looking to get more for their money, co-located with ISC West this year is the new Public Security & Safety Expo, an event offering companies and organizations a forum to showcase the products that are contributing to the ongoing security of the public, municipalities and infrastructure. Here, attendees will have access to a wide array of public security and safety solutions in one area.

Sectors will include law enforcement, urban/border protection, campus security, and air/land/sea and rail security.

ISC West promises to offer the largest and most comprehensive security show in the world. See you at the show!
